Alexis Sanchez’s nightmare at the Theatre of Dreams has finally come to an end. The Chilean posted a farewell message to former teammates on Instagram.
Having already negotiated the purchase of Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United, the Italian giants wasted no time inquiring about the possibility of bringing Alexis Sanchez to the fashion capital of the world. Solskjaer whom publicly spoke of his admiration of Sanchez’s talent and professionalism has now agreed to let the Chile international, placing his faith in the clubs youth prospects this season.

The departure does leave United’s attacking department very thin, on top of the concerns around Anthony Martial availability for the away trip to Southampton this weekend. United will be left to pick from Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Daniel James who has been impressive in his outings, Angel Gomes & Tahith Chong whom haven’t appeared in the matchday squads this season as of yet.
With Chris Smalling also heavily linked with a departure to AS Roma, Alexis Sanchez may not be the last leaving Old Trafford this summer.
