AS Roma agree loan fee for Chris Smalling

Chris Smalling looks set to be first defensive departure of the season at Old Trafford. The centre half whom has struggled to appear in the picture this season, looks set to finalise a loan deal with AS Roma, as the European transfer market comes to an end.

According to Sky Italy, the fee agreed is the region of €3 million for a season-long loan without an option to buy. The futures of Phil Jones, Rojo & Darmian seem to be the next topic of concern for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Should all four defenders leave, it would indicate that Solskjaer has had a successful transfer window in relation to players leaving the club. The emergence & focus on bringing through the clubs youth prospects should leave some optimism in the hearts of the United faithful.
